Privacy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Using Antimercator.com requires no sign-up, asks for no data and sets no cookies. This page explains the few things the site keeps and why.

Who runs the site

Pixelized.ch Sagl, Lugano, Switzerland. For any question about this page: info@pixelized.ch.

Cookies

None for people using the map. The site's only cookie is the technical one of the administration panel, which concerns only whoever runs the site.

No requests to third parties

The map, fonts, flags, country data and QR codes are all served from this server: while you use the map your browser contacts no other service, apart from the statistics described below. Wikipedia opens only if you click its link in a country's card.

Statistics

This site uses AlpStats.ch, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Pixelized.ch Sagl (Switzerland), to measure usage anonymously. AlpStats.ch uses no cookies and does not store your IP address; it creates no persistent identifiers or profiles, and cannot follow a person from one day to the next or from one site to another.

It counts the page opened, the referring site, the approximate country (derived from the IP address, which is then not stored), the type of device, browser and operating system, the screen size and the language. More information: alpstats.ch/privacy.

Shared links

When you press “Share”, the site saves the comparison so the link can reopen it: which countries, where they were moved, the reference country and the part of the world in view. No personal data. Along with it, the site stores the creation date, how many times the link has been opened and when it was last opened.

To stop anyone from creating links by the thousand, the site keeps for one day a fingerprint of the IP address of whoever created the link: an irreversible transformation from which the address cannot be rebuilt. After one day it is deleted; the link stays valid.

Server logs

Like every web server, the one hosting this site records incoming requests (IP address, date, page requested, browser) for technical and security reasons, and keeps them for a limited period.

Where the data is

The site and the statistics are hosted by Infomaniak, in Switzerland. No data is passed on to third parties. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies and, where relevant, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
